[ setting apart] - 1994

Hilton Judin initiated this research and exhibition project of official archive documents and video testimonies examining the segregation of urban spaces in South Africa. The exhibition – called [ setting apart] - was produced in Johannesburg in collaboration with the History Workshop at the University of the Witwatersrand and the Newtown Film and Video School. In 1995 the project was produced in Cape Town in collaboration with the Mayibuye Centre of the University of the Western Cape and the District Six Museum.
